Now, I don’t believe I have ever written about
Debbie Travis’ nipple.

Practice sticks! The black tip is a built in practice pad.
No pad to carry with. I can drum most anywhere.
Am I educated in drumming? No. Do I care?
Not really. Oh, I would love to sit in front of a full
set and drum away.
But they frighten me with the possibilities.
It could happen that I totally suck at it.
That would ruin the dream that I can play LOL

I am almost ready for the party.
Many projects are completed. I just want to shampoo
the carpet and I am finished. The kids are going
to mow for me today. Jan did the back yard two
days ago. We have had no rain so it isn’t growing
much. Still, it needs a tidying before the party.

An actual local staging client called.
I could hardly believe it. This area sucks
in that respect. Staging is just not popular here
like it is south of here. This client is an elderly
man and wife who are selling a $700,000 home
on Missionary Ridge. Their contemporary
6000 sq foot home overlooks the Chattanooga city
skyline. A beautiful home once we change the finishes.
It is currently 20 year old mauve/rose colored
everything. Including kitchen counters and back splash.

I’ll do the walk through consultation next week.
He will hire his own crew to do the labor and I will
consult on all the finishes. I will then come back
in to stage it with furniture and accessories before
the agent tour.

We all got along famously. I had a great time with ‘
them. He wants to sell this to an up and coming
dot com company. He wants to market it via a website
that he wants me to create and maintain. Then when
this is finished he wants to flip a few houses with me
as the designer. I have been wanting to get
involved in flipping for a long time. He made his money
in the stock market and has it to spend. I know he
knows what he is doing as he was the contractor for
the home they are now selling.

I want to be very excited, but I am still licking my
wounds from the last client I had high hopes with.
Still, I was thrilled to walk in there, scared but
determined. Knowing I knew what to say and do,
but still frightened to fall on my face. I did not.
I knew this shit! And they genuinely liked me.

Jan and I met several work friends at a local pool
hall recently. It was wonderful to get out. Our friends
A and K knew a lot of the people there. It is a straight
club but was chock full of lesbians. We met several that
we liked a lot and invited them to our party.
I do hope they come. It was great to get out and enjoy
ourselves with adults. It was Karoke night, A is an amazing
vocalist. A tiny thing with a Bonnie Raitt voice. This is
small town USA and yet, these Lesbians were at times,
huggy, kissy, affectionate with each other and not one
person said anything about it. I was impressed with our
little (supposedly) red-neck town.

So the friend that stopped talking to me after the one
time sitting job went to hell, is still not responsive.
I recently tried again to reach out. No reply. I hate it.
She obviously doesn’t.
They were good friends and we love them.
They no longer like me.
It sucks because I am to blame for the lack of that
friendship for Jan’s sake. I have tried to change it.
I can do no more and must let it go.
