Day 5, migraines each day,
sudden onsets that are pissing me off.
Too many drugs in my system messing up my life.
This monitor is too bright. I had to fiddle
with the contrast. I should get out my laptop.
It has a much more soothing display. Odd that.

The Caldwell Suite was her choice for us.
It is my 48th birthday present.
I balked at the idea. Too expensive a gift.
I feel so spoiled. Undeserving certainly.
It is Gay owned, A beautiful Victorian B and B.
Obviously it is lovely and going out of town is
so good. She knows it is my dream to one day
fix up a Victorian. We get to sleep in the Turret!
It is only a little over an hours drive from here too.
Thank you for not buying me yard art or
something that needs dusting honey!
I’m sure we will have a lovely time.
The best part is that Jan is taking two
extra days off this week to do this.
She will be able to get some rest.
She never gets four off in a row unless she is
doing Coroner training. Which doesn’t count.
Jan and I visited new friends S and R last week.
They are lovely women inside and out. We are
pleased to be getting to know them. We had a
wonderful time just playing a game and talking
for a few hours. Tomorrow night we will meet
them and several work friends at Carrabbas
for dinner. It is what I wanted for my birthday.
I miss them all. I miss talking to adults.
I learned that well at the party. I loved being
with them all again.
I think I am into menopause big time. Hot flashes,
maybe the migraines are also a symptom. Moody,
lonely, unsure who I am, no period for a few months.
(a good thing) Did I say hot flashes? Geeze…
Oh and facial hair! I may need to start shaving soon
LOL. Jan may trade me in on a healthier-younger les.
Hilary (17 yr old) has surprised us both.
We were sure that she would spend every pay
check before she got it. From the first week,
she has been unable to think of much she really
needs to spend her money on. She is currently
sitting on two un-cashed checks.
Jan has taken her to the bank to open an account.
I am thrilled and so proud of her.
She is saving for a car.
So there you have it, my half assed entry.
It’s all I got folks…
Off to let the lortab do its work hopefully.
If not we will go to something stronger. I just
didn’t want to sleep today. Jan is home and I
have missed her so much.
