Just life…

Jan and I had a wonderful day yesterday.
We began the morning just holding each other
for a few minutes. A chance to say hello again.
I have missed you. She came up behind me
at the computer as she woke up and just hugged.
People don’t put enough stock into a good hug.
It can ease a ton of stress.

We sat and planned our day, An email from L came
to say she was too busy to come by to do taxes and
the table, (I did a little cheer) so the day was
ours to do as we wished until the evening dinner
for Hilary. I said that I wanted to go to Lowe’s (shocker!)
and get another shop light to light a dark area in the studio,
also a shelf for more storage and an 8 foot table.

I don’t ask much do I? Yeah I feel sort of bad for “needing”
all those things. But I did. I am having 8 people over next
week for the first of many art days. And… I could still use chairs!
(We will probably stand more than sit anyway)
I also will use the table at shows, so see, I did need it.

We stopped by the dollar store and found a few great candle
holders to mosaic on and a few other things we probably didn’t
need. Then we went next door and bought us a new video game.

I’m not sure how we did it, but we got an 8 foot table in
Jan’s PT Cruiser. Actually I am not too surprised, we are pretty
good at such things. I got 30 bags of mulch in it one year.
The Lowe’s guy said it couldn’t be done. HA.
He obviously had never met me before.

We went to Sonic and got a snack and had to open the hatch
to push the table out from between the two seats so I could
see Jan while we sat there eating. People passed by and stared at
this little car with a table half on the ground. It was funny.

We came home and installed the shelf and light, Jan put together
an Ikea desk chair we got for Hilary and then we played our new
video game for the rest of the afternoon.

Dinner was lovely. I set a special table for her.
The Chicken Broccoli Alfredo was delicious.
Her brother went overboard and bought her a 50$ ITunes card.
Kate, gave her a musical she has coveted.
We also bought her a fitted jacket that looks great on her.
Today is date night with Brandon. He has also asked her to the prom.
My girl is growing up. I have been weepy about it when I thought I
would be fine. Fitful sleeping, indigestion, just the works.

I actually was afraid I was having a heart spasm episode this morning,
I haven’t had one since I worked in the ER. I was walking the
floors at 3 am with horrible chest/back pain. Different than other
episodes. Enough to scare the shit out of me. I didn’t wake Jan, she
wasn’t happy about that. But I refuse to unless I just have to.
She wanted to take me to the ER, I refused. I am better, plenty of
prevacid on board and it has eased a good bit.

I’m going to the studio, to finish a couple of things and start another.
I have an idea for a gift that I want to create too.
I already told everyone not to expect dinner as I was going to work
all day. It will now be noon before I start. I was so sleepy from last
night and have started late as a result. So I am off.

Oh and tell me please what is the point of Pre-Ordering an album through
Amazon when they don’t even mail it until 3 days after it comes out?
There reason? The Tornadoes. So what could I possibly say to that?
Could be true, but I am skeptical. I’m just saying, the weather might
keep something from being delivered, once shipped.
But they didn’t SHIP it until yesterday. Was there a tornado in the
shipping department too?

As a result, I don’t have Kd’s new album yet. I looked at walmart the other
day and they don’t even have a section for KD Lang. Homophobic assholes…
