Our day. Updated

February 13, 2008

We had a lovely lunch. It was far too cold to stay long.
A bunch of great pictures were taken.
See them on flickr…

Jan at the Tennessee River Coolidge park.
I love this picture so much.

Happy anniversary to the woman who knows the absolute
best and worst of me and still drives to this house each day
after work. It is a choice each day for her. For us all.

Do we point our cars where we have a home and a life with
others, or venture out for something new, different.
Perhaps even more exciting than the mundane
day to day of life. And are both not possible in one lifetime?

She calls each day as she turns into the park that leads
her home to me. “I’m on my way, do we need anything?”
“No, just you home with us. Come home, be careful”.
It is my daily reply. It is that simple really.

We are taking the day off, lunch and arts…
She is doing this for me. It isn’t really her thing.
More proof that she is amazing.

I love you Jan.
I have since the day we met.
You both terrify and excite.

Nine years people!
My fear that I was a 7 year itch kinda girl…
now shot to hell.

Interesting Piece Huh? Two moms and a child?
Three gender neutral figures?
I love it.

Jan bought me a pair of pants for our anniversary.
It seems an unromantic gift until you look at the reason.
I have lost 56 pounds to date and was still wearing size
20 and 22 pants. She bought an 18. I laughed and thanked
her for her confidence in me. I was sure I could wear them
soon. She made me put them on.
I am wearing them in the picture above.
They are not tight. Amazing.
Simply fricking amazing!
It did more for my self esteem than anything
has in a while. Romantic indeed.
love you all.
