The curve of you

May 4, 2008

As I drew this last night I asked you
to tilt your head just so…to get it right.
But then,
I traced the curve of you from memory.
My hand took over what my heart saw.
Through no effort of my own, you were there.
Entwined with me.

For now, I am calling it, Shut Up And Kiss Me.
But I am sure that title is copyrighted…
so… Reply with suggestions if you like.

I am about to scandalize the Mosaic community
with a Lesbian image. Maybe they will forgive
my honesty, as if they should need to.
Most will not mind, but a few more conservative
types will. It’s Art people!

We shall see. I hesitated posting these there.
As you all know, there is a wonderful community
on Flickr and I enjoy their lessons and work in progress
pictures as much as I enjoy sharing mine.
But I haven’t posted anything real there, nothing that
defines who I am. Not like this. But I am out to everyone
there of course. I hate the lie of not being out.
This one surely will ruffle a few feathers!

I adore it. But I cant take credit for the original idea,
I saw an image a while ago on line, although it was more
free flowing and more gender neutral. A sculptural piece.
I wanted it to be more defined and did it that way.
On flickr you can see that I will use one piece of glass for
each image. Cutting the glass at natural body lines to leave
room for the grout to help define the shape of each woman.

Back to it!
Having a wonderful day and hope you are too.
