Here… sort of
August 2, 2008We actually made it all the way to the Holland area
at 8 pm. It’s now almost 10 and we just found
a hotel that had a vacancy after 7 tries!!
We finally found one just shy of Grand Rapids!
It is less than an hour to L and G’s tomorrow.
Not sure when they will be home as they had to
leave town unexpectedly for a funeral.
I am going to email her and have her let me know
when they are home/or awake/ or ready for company.
We did plan to stop in Kokomo and stay there
but it was 5pm! No way was I going to sit in a hotel room
when I could just keep driving!
Very difficult was stopping in Holland at several hotels
because we had to find one somewhere! One hotel was
the one we had to go to 5 years ago beacuse my family
wouldn’t let me come to my mom’s when she died.
Talk about angst then and now.
Why am I even here?
I don’t know right now.
I don’t think I even belong in this area anymore.
More tomorrow when I have rested and am less tired.
The past is the past. The future starts tomorrow. Try to be in the here. The now.
I’m tired too and making very little sense.

Hey guys! I just wanted to say that the pups are fine,
Lil’ Bit will be sleeping with my in the big bed tonight.
I tried calling you back on the Wendy’s phone, but Jan didn’t answer.
I ended up working 11am-1am today.
Geez!
And I have to be back at 9am tomorrow! (well, now it’s today..)
So, I should probably get some sleep.
I hope all goes well tomorrow, and call you on my break (it’ll probably be around 10am) and I’ll call you after work!
