Boating adventures

We watched deer run through the woods just now.
The sun lit the trees surrounding them.
It set Jan in motion with her camera as she
snuck outside to take a few shots.

It is beautiful here in the cottage in the woods.
A large deck outside our french doors leads
to the spot where the tray photo was taken.
Jan is going to take a picture of me with the
tray in the spot where the tray photo was
originally taken.

We were going to go today on an overnight on
the boat, but the big lake is very very choppy.
Laura and I went last night and bought food
for the trip while Jan and G fished off the pier.
Yesterday all four of us and both dogs went
out to the big lake for a while. Roxey is a white
poodle and just so gentle and shy. She has only
been on the boat a few times and never out on
the lake. Yesterday was her first excursion.
She sat in my lap most of the time looking out the
window with the wind in her face. Zoe will be so
jealous as I am adopting both of these pups as
my own.

Laura had wanted to drive with the top down on
my convertible so when we went to the store
last night I did that for her. It was just so great
to do that with her alone. We talked about everything.
She was again my mentor, advising me on an issue I had.
Encouraging me in every aspect of who I am.
Loving me again. G is enjoying having a fishing buddy in Jan
and told Jan last night that she had her worries, but no more.
This means everything to me. Just everything!!

Laura seems to have pulled her back out a bit from hoisting
the anchor last night. It was wrapped around a huge
bundle of weeds making it heavy as hell. Jan finally realized
what was happening (I didn’t either) and together it was still
just so heavy. So she is miserable today damn it.

Must run, Laura has been cooking every meal and refuses help.
All we can do is clean up and empty the dishwasher.
Breakfast is ready….
